Making A Mark 201O
Join us for the reception of "Making A Mark 2010" an exhibition of art by children affected with cancer and blood disorders. This year, The Periwinkle Foundation invited artists that participated in the past years to collaborate with the children at decorating a frame for beautiful drawings made by kids at the Children's Hospital. I decided to continue last years' "appreciation for nature" theme by asking 12 kids to design a metal sculpture of an animal, with the help of my friend Margot Perez, we chose a beautiful drawing of a turtle to get inspired by.
The reception will take place on Sunday September the 12th 2010 at the intermediary bridge at Texas Children's Hospital from 2-4pm at 6621 Fannin. Valet parking is free.
